New KIA RIO Facelift 2021 Release Date, Changes

New KIA RIO Facelift 2021 Release Date, Changes

New KIA RIO Facelift 2021 Release Date, Changes – KIA Rio has been spying for the first time testing in the pseudonym Facelifted. The fourth generation of South Korean Supermini cars was reintroduced in October of 2016 at the Paris Motor Show, so it makes sense that KIA has looked out and about testing the mid-cycle refresh. This should come out towards the end of the year or early 2021.

Don’t let a great disguise your trick to believe this will be the all-new car with a completely different design as a small hatchback is unlikely to go through the major changes. Changing the front and back doors only for the facelift would be too expensive, therefore we believe the disguises slap in the area is vanity. We expect cosmetic changes that are commonly carried by a facelift, such as lightweight redesigned bumpers and a new look for headlights and backlights.

2021 KIA RIO Specs

Judging by their 17-Inch Alloy wheels, we can see the Rio GT line. That said, it’s no double exhaust tips and also doesn’t seem to have four dots “Ice Cube ” LED Daylight running lights upfront. It is difficult to show the changes KIA will make for the subcompact car, but we will not hold your breath for anything interesting.

It would be sweet if the B-segment hatchback was to get the Rio GT version to rival the Ford Fiesta ST and the Volkswagen Polo GTI, but we just didn’t see that happening right now. This will be too much time and financial investment for the vehicle is unlikely to generate enough sales to justify the effort.

While Picanto prepares for a Gigit and Tuck, her sister model from Hyundai is getting ready to enter the third generation. The next i20 was seen last November and had to exit later at 2020, with the hot i20 N serving as the Rio GT that KIA was unlikely to build.

The new design will complement the updated 1.6-liter four-cylinder and CVT (replacing six-Speed Auto) which got Rio this year-fuel economy jumped from 32 MPG combined to 36 MPG combined in both sedan and hatchback as Result of the switch. 2020 Hyundai Accent accepts the same changes.

One of our snipers manages to catch hatchback driving around. Unlike many Mid-Cycle refresh Camo Getups, this one is more than just a thin layer of swirly stickers. Instead, we get full cladding and tenting work.

2021 KIA RIO Features

From what we can see from the headlights, they already look like different designs. The Squared-off LED DRLs lurks there, and the visible element next to the LED is shaped differently from the current lamp unit. The fog light seen under the lamp appears to be in the same place as before, but it is not possible to tell the design of the surrounding area. With the amount of camouflage seen here, it’s possible that we see a completely different front fascia design, and the same goes for around the back.

Similar to crossover and SUV trying to hide their roof and hatch the shape, this one has a big tent over the rear window. We find it very unlikely that KIA decided to change Sheetmetal with this kind of update, but a completely new look of the bumper, the backlight and garnishing it seems likely.

The Rio, though being a solid car in many ways, is a bit boring to look at. His backlights are hardly noticeable through black netting, but they look similar to the current car lights of what little we can see from them. Most cars are covered – even doors have been camouflage on them, though we don’t expect the door to be going through revolutionary changes at the moment in the car’s lifecycle.

We dig the wheels on this Tester, and the Rio hatchback form is an interesting one. Sportier styling could help a little bit in many dealers, but with the new Soul already out and hot Seltos on the heels, Rio faces a lot of pressure from other KIAS. We expect small subcompact not to go as other small cars have, as our last task in the driver seat is surprisingly appealing to such a cheap car.
