2021 KIA Optima SX Review, New Features – The teaser photo of the new Optima, known as the K5 in Korea, shows the same transformative look as the profile similar to Fastback and the lighting treatments that look attractive on the front and back. The interior sketch also gives a glimpse of the new high-tech cab with a large display screen.
The traditional form of the KIA Grill, called by the company “Tiger Nose ” is clearly visible on the front, flanked by a slim lamp with the signature swoopy LED lights. The back lamp stretches across the rear width of the final rakish with a short decklid and sharp sweep of the rear window.

The new Interior Optima is also seen to move more upscale, as it seems the digital cluster gauge feature, the Center widescreen display, and the Carbon-Fiber-Look trim.
There is a large button visible in the center console, which can be a controller for the Infotainment system or a Rotary shifter for transmission. The Sonata features a similarly large touchscreen display and a transmission shifter press, for what it deserves.
2021 KIA Optima SX Powertrain
We expect the new Optima to share the base and powertrains with the Sonata, which offers either a natural aspiration of the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder.
The more robust 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinders are rumored to appear in the N-Line version of the Sonata, and this punchier machine can be used in the level of a Sportier trim for Optima as well, possibly called SX.
2021 KIA Optima SX Release Date
We must hear more about the new KIA Optima in the next few months as the car prepares to make the Korean-debut market. US-Market information will come sometime next year, and Optima tends to go on sale on our beach as the 2021 model.
