2022 KIA Picanto GT Line Specs, Interior, Exterior – City cars bring fresh designs to all models, including the GT-Line and X-line variants, new interior color customization options, two new Smartstream machines, and Infotainment updates and technological safety. We hope this feature will be presented by KIA to 2022 Picanto.
On the styling front, the facelifted KIA Picanto features real updates for the exterior, especially for the sporty GT-Line and SUV-inspired X-Line models. They now feature ‘ tiger-nose ‘ Grille with a new textured surround and open-link display, a lower-chrome Trim that extends to a redesigned headlights, red highlights on the GT-Line and black trim on the X-line, as well as a four-LED DRLs-bulb integrated into the headlights.

While the morning domestic market sees the consolidation of pre-facelift of standard cars, the GT-Line and X-Line variants into a single Urban model, the Picanto will continue to be available on the base, the sporty GT-Line and the X-inspired SUV line in Europe, where it will be sold from Q3 2020.
The GT-Line car is similar to the domestic market of Urban lines in appearance, except for the accent line on the tiger’s nose Grill, side skirt, and rear diffuser given in red. On the back, 2022 Picanto features a new LED signature for the backlight and a slimmer fog light design. In addition, both the Picanto GT-Line and X-Line features a fresh, model-specific front and rear bumper design with a sharper crease. Customers will be able to choose between 10 finished paints and two new aluminum Alloy wheel designs: 14-inch in 16-spoke view or two-tone diamond-cut 16-inch wheels.
When it came inland, 2022 KIA Picanto added an Infotainment screen upgrade and new customization options. The 8.0-inch larger touchscreen display with satellite navigation is now paired with a 4.2-inch high-resolution digital display on the instrument cluster. The Infotainment system offers standard multi-connection Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as UVO Connect ‘ Phase II ‘ telematics.
More clearly is the new headlights, in which the projector is surrounded by four LED daytime light bulb runs, which is somewhat like a Porsche. Depending on the level of Trim and the market, the cab is offered with black cloth or synthetic leather seats, with upgrades including a new upholstery texture as well as black, silver, or black gloss Trim. Buyers can choose between new optional interior color packages such as Lime Pack, Orange Pack, Red Pack, and Green Pack.
As far as powertrains go, the Korean city car gets two new smart stream three-cylinder petrol engines: a naturally-aspirated 1.0-liter rated at 67 PS (66 HP) and a 1.0-liter T-GDI Turbo making 100 PS (99 HP). This Unit is said to be more economical and cleaner than its predecessor thanks to its new integrated thermal Management System (ITMS) and optional automatic manual transmission (AMT) based on five-speed manual transmissions.

In it, Picanto features an 8.0 inch ‘ floating ‘ touch screen head unit (one inch wider) and a 4.2-inch digital display on the instrument cluster. Depending on the level of Trim and the market, small car cabins are offered with black cloth or synthetic leather seats, with a variety of new upholstery textures to “more contemporary, look and feel higher quality “.
There are several funky color packages such as Lime Pack, which compare the black interiors with the lime stitching and bolsters of the white chair, the painted silver metal transmission and ventilation surrounding the air, and the silver-and-lime accent on the door. Offering a European UVO KIA system, Picanto provides driver access to live traffic information, weather forecast, points of interest, FUEL prices, and the breakdown of the potential on-and off-street parking-including price, location, and availability.
The UVO APP allows owners to activate various functions and features remotely. The Picanto will be one of the first KIA models to offer the latest brand “Stage II ” UVO linking telematics features, which more will be revealed later.

The Picanto facelift is available in Europe with two new Smartstream petrol engines that are more efficient and less polluting than its predecessor-100 PS 1.0 liters T-GDi and 67 PS Natural-Aspirated 1.0 L. Turbo Motor equipped a high-pressure fuel injection system 350 Bar which is more efficient, while the NA unit replaces multi-point injection with Dual-Port fuel injection.
Both of these engines have improved exhaust gas recirculation lines and time valve intake optimized for better fuel efficiency. They are also equipped with the new Integrated Thermal Management System (ITMS), which provides more effective combustion space cooling. ITMS has varying cooling Engine characteristics based on the operating point of the machine.

In Korea, the base machine (which is now the only choice of its single-engine) is dimated with four-speed automatic transmission, but Europe will get a new manual automatic transmission (AMT) KIA.
Something familiar to Europe, AMT is essentially a five-speed manual gearbox with an actuator for automating clutch operations and shifting gears. Using a single dry clutch, AMT is a cost-effective option for customers who support the convenience of cars, without compromising the fuel efficiency of the manual, KIA said.
Last but not least, safety. The Model that enters KIA has some of the latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features such as the forward Collision-avoidance Assist (FCA) with the vehicle and pedestrian detection, blind-spot Collision-avoidance assistance (BCA), Lane-keeping Assist (LKA), Attention Warning driver (DAW) and Lane following assists (LFA).
The ADAS system is in addition to the back of Cross-Traffic collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), seven airbags and Hill-Start assist Control (HAC). The latter may be a good ally for the AMT on the slopes.
