2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD New Looks

2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD

2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD – The Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD models were initially set for major updates in 2023.

This included new front and rear ends, new interiors, and potential powertrain upgrades. However, due to complications caused by COVID-19 and a shortage, the product cycle is now delayed by one model year.

The current HDs perform exceptionally well on the market. The HD models will see minor rolling changes in the model year 2023.

The GMC SierraHD family, which includes the Sierra 2500HD & 3500HD, underwent a complete overhaul (redesign and reengineering) for the 2020 model year.

Trucks have been a hot commodity ever since. Sales have increased 23.2 percent to 73,777 units in the calendar year 2020.

Despite the excellent performance of the Truck in the market, there are still some problems. GM is currently working on refreshing the Truck.

GM Authority reports that the Sierra HD will be restored similarly to its Light Duty sibling one model year after release.

The prototype is heavily camouflaged, with everything in front of the C-pillar and on the backside of the A-pillar covered in heavy vinyl camo.

This particular prototype, based on 18-inch steel wheels, suggests it’s a Sierra HD trim – which is the base model in the lineup.

The Off-Road X31 package appears to have been installed. The prominent Hankook Dynapro MT2 tires demonstrate that the Rancho monotube shocks are visible at the rear and appear to be skid plates on the underbody.

2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD Redesign

This 2023 GMC Sierra HD prototype has a set of headlights and what looks like a new grille. While the rear bumper of the current model is retained, it gets a new set of tail lights. The sheet metal on the box and tailgate is unlikely to change.

Unofficially, this 2023 GMC Sierra HD prototype is wholly covered. This confirms that a new cockpit will be available.

The new cockpit will have a completely redesigned center stack and a screen running all-new operating software.

It is possible to expect an entirely new digital gauge panel/cluster and several other interior changes and improvements. It should generally comply with the 2022 GMC Sierra.

GM has also updated its GMC Sierra HD 2023 GMC Sierra HD powertrain lineup. More information will be available later.

The GMC Sierra HD 2023 is the cleanest Truck we can see because of the grille’s shape. The cabin configuration is almost the same, as are the mirrors.

However, there are some changes on the front. Camouflage covers what appears to be a slightly modified grille.

The Truck has replacement headlights from GM, suggesting that we see new headlights that match the updated grille.

It looks like the GMC Sierra 2023 retains its original styling from the back. While the rear bumper is very similar to the current Truck, we got new taillights.

The mid-life refresher is still almost the same as before. We don’t have access to HD truck interiors, but we know interior upgrades are planned.

It’s reasonable to expect many digital instruments included with the revamped infotainment system and the GMC Sierra 1500.

While we know that the GM Super Cruise is coming to the half-ton Truck (namely, the Sierra), it’s still uncertain whether it will make its way into the HD space.

This feature is available on the full-size Escalade from the automaker. However, it’s essential to consider whether a use case can be made given the number of HD owners it will attract and whether GM or buyers are willing to pay the extra cost.

We can also see powertrain upgrades, aside from technological and styling changes. We hope so. GM will likely tweak the Duramax’s power output and torque output to match the Ford and Ram’s over 1,000 lb-ft each.

2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD Release Date
