2023 KIA Sportage X Pro Prestige: Rugged Crossover SUVs With Powerful Engines

2023 KIA Sportage X Pro Prestige – The fifth-generation crossover will land in uncle Sam’s country in the first quarter of 2022.

Sportage 2023 shares the N3 platform with Sorento, which uses more heat-stamped parts and ultra-high-strength steel to increase tensile strength and torque stiffness.

The New Sportage is also evolving in dimensions compared to previous models.

The car’s overall length rose by 7.1 inches (18 centimeters), while the wheelbase increased by 3.4 inches (8.64 cm).

The new Kia Sportage 2023 was recently announced, with some cool specs. One of them is the new level trim Kia X-Pro, and off-road trim made for the Sportage.

The Kia Sportage X-Pro 2023 is a trim level designed to enhance the Sportages’ ability to go off-road. This, plus some other new changes to the Sportage, will make it the kind of SUV that will make people see it again.

The 2023 Kia Sportage X-Pro will include 17-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, heated windshields, and LED fog lights.

The Sportage X-Pro has glossy black detailing, serious roof racks, and side trimmings. You can also choose a two-color roof that sets the X-Pro apart from other Sportages.

The X-Pro also has a multi-terrain drive mode for more accurate off-road control and washing machine nozzles so you can keep it clean after your adventure.

While the 2023 Kia Sportage will see price increases for the LX trim, the EX and S.X. trim to get some price drops.

It’s not very common to hear price drops in today’s rising market, but the new Sportage has a lot to offer with four new editions added to the lineup; The S.X. Prestige, X-Line, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige will all replace the 2022 Sportage Nightfall Edition.

Although the trim price of the 2022 EX and S.X. is down, Kia is unwilling to take down the fifth-generation Sportage.

First, Sportage 2023 uses Kia’s new N3 platform, which underpins the Sorento. This increases the size of the Sportage and adds more power and torque stiffness to its chassis.

There are also new silencers and insulation to reduce noise, vibration, and hardness from roads, wind, and engines.

2023 KIA Sportage Features

Standard features in the new 2023 Sportage include a dual panoramic curved display that Kia says “seamlessly connects two screens for a nearly 25-inch digital display and provides a large screen for a 360 Degree Surround View Monitor with 3D View and a Live Feed Blind-Spot View Monitor in an instrument cluster.

Sportage also offers eight standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features. For higher scale levels such as EX, S.X., and X-Line, X-Pro, and both Prestige trim, enhanced ADAS including forwarding Collision Avoidance (FCA) Assist with Junction Turning capability Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist are available.

Although not announced, Kia said that turbocharged hybrid and PHEV Sportage variants will be launched later, with prices coming “close to the sale date.”

2023 KIA Sportage Engine

Kia has not released specific details about the latest Sportage powertrain, but the company has preliminary data.

Its new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine will produce about 187 horsepower (139 kilowatts) and connect with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

It comes standard with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.

A hybrid powertrain will also be available. The announcement from the automaker only mentioned the “upcoming version of electrification” without offering any other info.

If referring to South Korea, there is indeed a plug-in hybrid variant – which Kia might hint at for the U.S. market.

Sportage Off-Road

If you want a more robust crossover, the Sportage 2023 is available in X-Line, and X-Pro trim levels. Both get standard all-wheel drive.

The X-Line has a satin chrome surround for the bumper. There are black gloss pieces for glass covers, roof racks, and perimeter windows.

The roof rack lifts the rails to facilitate the installation of accessories. This trim wears 19-inch alloy wheels.

The X-Pro type is even more capable of off-roading. Kia equipped it with 17-inch matte black alloy wheels, clad in B.F. Goodrich’s all-terrain tires.

LED fog lights, heated windshields, washing nozzles, and a multi-terrain driving mode with normal, sport, intelligent, and snow settings.

A two-tone roof is an option.

Then, there is also X-Pro Prestige with several other facilities.

The trim adds LED projector headlights, ventilated front seats, and an eight-way power-adjustable front passenger seat.

2023 KIA Sportage Design

The new Sportage adopts a much more attractive appearance than the previous generation.

Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille is smaller and sits on a black grille. The boomerang-shaped DRL (daytime running light) lamp gives a distinctive front view.

Profileally, his beltline drops on pillar A, then rises as it reaches the back.

Kia designs the 2023 Sportage X-Pro to be much more trail-ready than the X-Line. To meet that demand, the X-Pro comes with 17-inch matte black alloy wheels that focus off-road like the 17-inch BF Goodrich A/T tires.

The roof also comes as a two-tone color treatment, while the windshield washing nozzles are heated to help remove frost and ice at cold temperatures.

To help you navigate your unpaved path, the X-Pro comes with a multi-terrain mode that includes Normal, Sports, Smart, and Snow modes.

Buyers can get a curved panoramic display that integrates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen.

Then, there is a touchpad for climate control and audio under the center monitor. The function of the physical keys changes depending on whether you want to change the temperature or adjust the volume.

2023 KIA Sportage Safety

Kia equipped the new Sportage with a variety of safety technologies.

The basic trim already has forward collision avoidance, lane-keeping assist, reverse parking distance warning, driver attention warning, and rear occupant alert.

Optional features include forward collision avoidance, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, forward parking distance warning, reverse parking collision avoidance, and adaptive cruise control.

Sportage 2023 will be available in seven trim levels: LX, EX, SX, SX-Prestige, X-Line, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige.

The ginseng company will only announce the price and specifications of each trim ahead of the launch.

2023 KIA Sportage Technology

Kia Sportage 2023 has a lot of advanced technology. The 2023 Kia Sportage features a dual-screen dashboard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and supports WiFi hotspots. You can add wireless charging, and there are plenty of USB ports to keep your device fully charged.

There is also essential safety equipment in the 2023 Kia Sportage, including forwarding collision warning, fixed lane assistance, and rear parking warning.

Other optional safety equipment includes bird’s eye cameras, blind-spot monitors, and adaptive cruise control.

The X-Pro is an off-road SUV that will appeal to those who want an SUV and love to drive on the road. It should have everything you need for a trip to the grocery store or off-road and also be stylish. The 2023 Kia Sportage X-Pro will be available in 2022.

2023 KIA Sportage Price

at the base level, the 2023 Sportage LX$1,900 upgrade for FWD ($27,205) and a $2,200 increase for the AWD version ($29,005) aren’t too bad from the 2022 price ($25,305 and $26,805, respectively).

The $1,800 AWD premium for the 2023 Sportage is not a big increase over the $1,500 cost in 2022. Especially when compared to many other CUVs in its range that are experiencing a much greater increase.

On the other hand, the X and S.X. are experiencing price declines compared to 2022. Ex FWD is $29,205 where previously it was $29,605 and AWD is now $31,005 at $31,105.

Although it is no more than a decrease of $500, this is a decrease that is no less than that. The AWD premium is the same increase as the LX ($1,800) and the same price difference between 2023 and 2022 (a $300 increase).

The Nightfall edition from 2022 will not return for 2023. Instead, there are X-Line, X-Pro trims, and Prestige versions of the S.X. and X-Pro.

The X-Line is only offered in AWD and sells for $32,005, while the X-Pro is also only available as an AWD but costs $36,205.

The X-Line “blends sporty and sturdy” Sportage look and adds unique front and rear bumpers with satin chrome surround with side trimmings and adds a black layer of gloss to the side rearview mirror, roof rack, and window covering.

Roof rack rails are also raised for better off-road-focused accessory support. Finally, a set of 19-inch alloy wheels made specifically for the Sportage X-Line.

Prestige versions of the S.X. and X-Pro offer more luxurious maintenance. The X-Pro Prestige includes ventilated front seats, eight-way powered front passenger seats, LED fog lights, and LED Projector headlights available for better foresight.

The Sportage X-Pro Prestige retails for $38,005, while the S.X. Prestige costs $34,705 for the FWD and $36,505 for the AWD version.
