2024 KIA Cerato Expected To Come With A New Style

The Next-Gen Cerato is expected to debut sometime in 2024 or 2025, and it could be the first model – in addition to the EV6 eGT – to feature a more impressive GT variant.

In recent years, Kia Cerato has evolved from a middleweight player in the small car class to a contender for the number two position.

The current model arrived in Australia in sedan form in mid-2018 and received an update in mid-2021 with a fresher look and improved technology to better compete with new or updated rivals, including the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai i30, and Mazda 3.

While many significant competitors – the Volkswagen Golf, Honda Civic, Ford Focus, and Renault Megane – have set their prices out of competition for most small, low-budget car buyers or have been kicked out of the Australian showroom entirely, the Kia Cerato has retained half of its models. The range is below $30,000 driving – and all variants are less than $40,000.

The cabin of the Cerato is pleasing to the eye; everything is very smooth and flows very well.

Usually, it immediately becomes clear that you are using a budget model, but there are no empty buttons on the steering wheel, and there are only a few to the right of the dashboard.

The only thing that screams cheap in this car is the hub cap outside but don’t focus on it, and it’s an easy fix.

The dashboard is coated with soft-touch material and flows into a door wrapped in soft plastic. There is no crude, rugged, cheap plastic, and it is a smoother material that feels a little more luxurious.

The front seats of the Cerato S are comfortable but mediocre, especially compared to the sportier units in the Cerato GT. A wide variety of adjustments allow all body shapes to be satisfied.

Above the dashboard’s center is an 8.0-inch touchscreen, which sits like an iPad. Unfortunately, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (not available on all models) only work perfectly as you’d expect.

The wireless CarPlay system at Cerato disconnected several times while we were behind the wheel. It’s not as bad as this time – any changes that have been made seem to have made a difference – but a few more changes in that area need to be made.

Sitting under the screen is a tray large enough to perfectly fit the most extensive iPhone. Underneath is a slightly larger tray with two USB-A ports – one for fast phone charging and another for regular speed.

Just behind the gear lever are two medium-sized cupholders, a drive mode selector, and an electronic handbrake.

Under the middle armrest are a deep central bin and a smaller tray for coins if people still use cash in this day and age.

Kia cars offer plenty of usable space in small bodies, and Cerato continues that trend. The rear seats have plenty of space, enough for three adults to sit opposite each other on shorter trips. You can also install a rear-facing child seat with room for adults in the front passenger seat.

2024 KIA Cerato Features

New features have been added, including a larger touchscreen (10.25 inches, up from 8.0 inches), an electric parking brake, lane follow-in assist, and blind spot monitoring and rear traffic alerts – offered for an additional $500 before the facelift, but made standard afterward, with the added ability to brake obstacles, not just detect them.

Sport+ adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto cable, built-in satellite navigation, heated synthetic leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and start, and auto-dimming rearview mirrors.

Features from the Sport include a 4.2-inch instrument display (with analog buttons), six speakers, 17-inch alloy wheels, a reverse camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a full suite of advanced safety technologies.

Meanwhile, exclusive features on the turbocharged flagship Cerato GT include LED headlights, JBL premium stereo, sunroof, and cordless phone charger, along with different engines, transmission, front brake discs, and rear suspension design.

2024 KIA Cerato Price

The Sport Plus sedan is expected to start at $31,140 plus an on-road fee or $33,190 drive.
